Romie was a journalist and show producer with CBC Radio for almost 20 years, bringing hundreds of stories to air. Following that she worked for over a decade with the Mental Health Commission of Canada, to benefit people with lived experience of mental illness. Romie loves nature, laughter, friends and family .. and seeing the magic in the world around her.

She has recently retired from full time work and is enjoying seeing where her interests and creative juices are taking her .. including first writing and publishing Maya’s Story: An Adoption Fairytale, and then a nonfiction book about her parents during WWII, called See You In Le Touquet.
